Nick Douglas took to Twitter to ask people what part of pop culture (if any) their parent's banned them from.
Nick said his parents ripped out a Sabrina The Teenage Witch ad in his Disney magazine once.
People quickly started replying with funny things their parents wouldn't let them see/listen to when they were kids.
I don't remember my parents really banning me from anything crazy, but I had some friends who weren't allowed to watch Harry Potter because it contained witches and magic.
I even had one friend who couldn't watch Rugrats because the character Angelica was too mean.
Here are some of the best from twitter.
Wasn’t allowed to watch the power rangers because it was “too violent” but was alllowed to own the merchandise (pink power ranger hat, action figure, etc.). Was allowed to see Rocky horror picture show and Carrie at age 8 though!— Jessica Dagg (@daggums) January 10, 2018
My mum confiscated The Marshall Mathers LP when I was 12. She wrapped it up and returned it to me on my 21st birthday. https://t.co/kClFHi7LL7— Emma Thrower (@iamnotwaynegale) January 10, 2018
I wasn’t allowed to watch 101 Dalmatians because my parents thought Cruella Deville was a witch.— krstfr 👹 (@krstfr) January 10, 2018
