Selena Gomez and DJ Snake Tease New Collab In Text Exchange

Looks like new music is on the way from Selena Gomez and DJ Snake! The two teased a new collaboration in a text exchange shared to social media by DJ Snake, and then retweeted by Gomez.

In the text message, DJ Snake sent a picture of his 4X Platinum plaque that had just arrived for his previous Selena collab, "Taki Taki," which also features Cardi B and Ozuna, and Selena had replied that she had already received hers. Then, the producer said, "I think it's time we gave them another one," and added, "Hold on I have an idea" along with an audio note. Selena agreed, and replied, "OMG I love this! Let's do it!"

"Taki Taki" just went 4X platinum, and Selena recently shared the plaque she received on Twitter and wrote along with it, "Love you guys!," while also tagging Cardi B, DJ Snake and Ozuna. Cardi replied thanking DJ Snake, "Love you more. This record is crazy. When I perform it the energy be crazy. Thank you @djsnake. You gave us one."

DJ Snake's new Selena Gomez collaboration will follow his 2020 song "Trust Nobody" and 2019 album Carte Blanche.

Meanwhile, Selena has been pretty busy working on music of her own. The star is releasing her first-ever Spanish EP, Revalación, next month, which features already-released songs "De Una Vez" and "Baila Conmigo" featuring Rauw Alejandro. Gomez recently revealed, in a behind-the-scenes video, that she recorded most of the EP over Zoom during the pandemic. She added, "'De Una Vez' was one of the first songs I worked on pretty early on. At the time, doing a Spanish project was just an idea being bounced around. Then the rest of the project just kind of happened really quickly and organically."
