Christina Ricci has decided to call it quits with her husband after 7 years of marriage.
On Thursday morning, Ricci, best known for her roles in "Casper" and "Addams Family" filed papers to separate from James Heerdegen. The couple first met in 2011 while both working on the TV show "Pan Am".
Christina cited the normal divorce reasoning of "irreconcilable differences" to end the marriage. She is also requesting sole custody of the couple's son.
TMZ reports that a prenup between the two does not exist and that Christina was the breadwinner for the family.
Ricci was also granted an emergency protection order against James after he allegedly spit on her during an argument. James was not taken into custody but was told to stay away from Christina.
