Swim To A Wish

SWIM TO HELP WISHES COME TRUE

Swim To A Wish is a fundraiser that was started by Wish Dad and Campus High School Swim Coach, Kelly Kennedy, in 2013.

The concept is simple: swim team members join together to swim a 100-mile marathon in relay format over the course of a weekend.

The impact is huge: in its four-year run, the event has spread from one school to seven schools and has raised more than $100,000 for Make-A-Wish® Kansas.

Funds are raised through individual and corporate donations, and have been matched dollar for dollar each year by an anonymous donor. Participating schools in the four-year run are Campus, Derby, Great Bend, Salina Central, Salina South, Newton, and Wichita Northwest.

The fifth annual event will take place across the state February 24-26. Campus High School has set a goal to recruit an additional three schools, bringing the total to 10 participating schools in 2017 - each making a commitment to raise a minimum of $5,000.
