SWEETHEART CANDY GOES OUT OF BUSINESS

The company that has been making the candy,  New England Confectionary Co. (Necco) has shut down.

USA Today Reports:

“This year, sales for the conversation hearts are expected to drop by more than 80 percent.

Necco folded in July 2018 after operating for more than 100 years. Along with Sweethearts, the company produced Mary Janes, Necco Wafers and Clark bars. “

Necco, was bought in auction by to one company and then sold to Sprangler Candy Co. in September. Sadly, 5 months is just not enough time to produced that many hearts. So unfortunately, you wont have a candy to not make chalky jokes to your loved ones. You can still use Hershey’s Kisses, to give your loved ones a kiss. It just isn’t as funny....

You can still buy these never expiring unoriginal chalky forms of humor online. But they are not cheap.

Amazon starts at  $9

Ebay can be up to $12.
